FAQ

Here are some of the FAQ – frequently asked questions, if You have any other concerns please contact us by phone or on info@skydivingcroatia.com

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I MAKE MY RESERVATION?

We suggest making reservations as soon as you have selected a date. However we can take last minute reservations based on availability. Call ####### and make a reservation to secure your spot for the prefered day !

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL WEATHER REQUIREMENTS?

Skydiving is a weather -dependent sport. Just as one requires snow to ski, skydiving requires high ceilings and moderate winds. This is considered “jumpable” weather. Non jumpable weather includes rain, storms, high winds, turbulence and low cloud coverage.

WHAT DO I DO IF THE WEATHER IS NOT COOPERATING?

If your day does not turn out with skydiving weather, we recommend giving us a call. We will update you with a forecast for the remainder of the day and advise the probability of your jump. Should that probability remain low, we can simply reschedule your jump at no penalty to yourself and your jumping friends.

CAN I BRING FRIENDS WITH ME WHO ARE NOT JUMPING?

Offcourse! They are more than welcome to come, cheer for you and watch your exciting jump. Spectators can see parachute packers folding the parachutes with meticulous precision and instructors preparing their students.

WHAT DO I WEAR ON MY SKYDIVE?

You should bring/wear running shoes at the time of your skydive (avoid sandals, heels or boots with hooks). We recommend wearing something comfortable when completing your skydive, and removing all loose objects and jewellery. For your skydive, you will be wearing a special jumpsuit over your clothes. We also recommend dressing appropriately for the season.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The Tandem Skydive ground preparation takes about 1 ½ hours. The sport of skydiving relies on a variety of different factors, including winds and weather. Variants in the weather can have very large effects on Skydiving operations. Because of these, and although your preparation time may appear small, we ask that you plan to be with us for the majority of the day. That way, should operations fall behind schedule, you are prepared.

WHAT DOES THE LANDING FEEL LIKE?

The modern ‘square’ parachute acts like the wing of an airplane. It is very manoeuvrable, and provides lift. For landing, the suspended skydiver flares the chute to slow down the canopy’s forward speed and to create extra lift, often allowing to land standing up on instructor’s/client’s feet. The landing is soft when it is properly performed.

WHO WILL I BE JUMPING WITH, WHEN DOING THE TANDEM SKYDIVE?

When doing the tandem skydive, you will be matched up with one of our experienced instructors. Among our instructors, you will find years of experience and thousands of jumps. All of our instructors are certified by Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA).
